H. Teaching Components
The teaching Components are generally divided into two parts:
Part 1: General Courses
The university mainly offers general foundation courses related to
major studies, such as Chinese, culture, mathematics, and chemistry in
the first academic year. At the end of the first academic year, the
university conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the international
students' learning abilities and overall performance. The evaluation
covers subjects such as Chinese, English, mathematics, physics and
chemistry, etc. (the specific subjects are subject to the major
requirements). Those who fail the comprehensive evaluation are not
allowed to proceed to major study.
Special requirements for HSK: According to the regulations of the
Ministry of Education of China, the graduation requirement for Chinese
proficiency in programs taught in English is to pass HSK4, while for the
clinical medicine, the requirement is to pass HSK5. Therefore, to be
well-prepared for the study of major courses, all international students are
in principle required to pass HSK4 within one year, and the maximum
period should not exceed 1.5 years.
Part 2: Major study
It includes various teaching components such as theoretical courses,
laboratory courses, internships, graduation thesis (design) or a
comprehensive graduation examination.
