TheSchool of International Education (the International Exchange and CooperationOffice), as the functional department of our university, is in strictaccordance with the related national system and requirements to implement theprinciple of CCP and our country on foreign affairs. It works as an exchangewindow to foreign countries and manages foreign affairs of our university. Ourresponsibility is organizing and coordinating international exchanges andcooperation affairs carried out between colleges of our university and foreignuniversities and institutions on the basis of the university's developmentplan.
Mainresponsibilities are:
1.Responsible for carrying out the principles and policies of foreign affair ofthe Party and our country, managing foreign affairs works of our university,formulating foreign-related work rules and regulations of our university andinspecting the implementation of the foreign affairs disciplines;
2.Responsible for the cooperation contract formulating, signing, andimplementation of our university with foreign universities and scientificresearch institutions;
3.Responsible for the foreign visit reception work;
4.Responsible for the implementation of Sino-American Friendship Volunteer Project;
5.Responsible for the intercollegiate exchanges and cooperation with foreignuniversities;
6.Responsible for the approval procedures, organization and implementation workof the university staff's overseas projects including education, training,exchange, visit and participation the international conference;
7.Responsible for the approval procedures, management and implementation work ofCSC programs and the Western Projects;
8.Responsible for the cooperation and communication affairs on Hong Kong, Macauand Taiwan;
9.Responsible for the management and implementation of the students’international exchange programs;
10.Responsible for the organization, material preparation and transcripttranslation and examination work of students overseas study and internshipprogram;
11.Responsible for the recruitment of the international students and macroscopicdaily management;
12.Cooperating with other departments of our university in foreign publicity,security, confidentiality, scientific and technological cooperation affairs;
13.Completing other work assigned by the university and the superior organization.
Responsibilitiesof Foreign Affairs Office
1.Responsible for the planning and implementation of university-level visitingactivities;
2.Responsible for the Examination of the teachers' application of going abroadtemporarily on business, and the handling of the certificates;
3.Responsible for the service for the teachers' training and further studyabroad;
4.Responsible for the selection and management of the project personnel of Nationaloffice for Chinese as a foreign language and China scholarship council;
5.Responsible for liaison and submission for approval of Chinese-foreigncooperation in running schools;
6.Responsible for the management and service of study and exchange programs forstudents studying abroad;
7.Responsible for the work permit, residence permit and other relatedcertificates for foreign teachers;
8.Responsible for coordinating foreign affairs activities and serving theteaching, the scientific research and the international academic exchanges ofthe school;
9.Responsible for Sino-American Friendship Volunteer Project;
10.Responsible for the organization and implementation of Hong Kong, Macao andTaiwan affairs;
11.Be responsible for the department's asset management, attendance, assessment,annual budget and use plan, filing of documents and files, keeping and using ofseals, etc.;
12.Responsible for drafting department work plans, summaries, documents, reports,yearbooks, etc.; responsible for receiving, registering, circulating variousdocuments and submitting information data;
13.Responsible for website construction and management of the department.
Responsibilitiesof the Teaching and Student Affairs Office.
I. In Teachingaspect
1.Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the management systemrelated to international students' teaching and examination;
2.Responsible for coordinating with the school recruiting international studentsto develop personnel training programs and teaching programs;
3.Responsible for monitoring of the daily teaching operation and teaching qualityfor the international students;
4.Responsible for the management of international students' course grades;
5.Responsible for the management of international students' status and thechanges of students' status such as transferring, suspension and withdrawal,etc.
6.Responsible for the recruitment and payment of textbooks for internationalstudents;
7.Responsible for the filing and preservation of international students' studyand personal information;
8.Responsible for the statistics of teaching workload and submission.
II.In students work aspect
1.Responsible for the publicity and enrollment of the international students;
2.Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the international studentmanagement rules and regulations;
3.Responsible for the registration of international students;
4.Responsible for the transaction of the international student's card, ChinaT-union, bank card, phone card, residence permit and other card;
5.Be responsible for purchase of comprehensive insurance for the internationalstudents studying in China, and help students deal with the settlement ofclaims in the event of claims settlement;
6.Responsible for organizing and serving for the international students' dailylife, study, extracurricular activities, accommodation, etc.;
7.Responsible for the evaluation and issuance of the international students'scholarships;
8.Responsible for providing information data of the international students andassisting in handling related matters;
9.Responsible for coordinating with the international student counselors to carryout various student activities.
